Anarchy Online has a pretty nice 'LFT' looking for team system. You can put a description of what you want to do, tells your level, class & location & even your faction. This would be a nice feature, it would also reduce chat spam as you could just go LFT & then bring up the interface to view other ppl & look for someone that is doing something you are interested in. But in AO, there are no henchies or instances, it's all 1 instance and all the players are human aside from the mobs you fight or your allied faction mobs.

Loki is right. They'll be offering some new data to our installations in some upcoming update. I am confident this new feature will arrive with the reconnect feature. I mean, yeah.

It's probably hiding in the supposedly huge update they claim to have planned (along with elite missionetc).

i know where this feature is.... the same place the guild storage, trade imporvements, Nightfall elite mission, and Razah are...i am starting to hate this. I used to Love anets marketing of "Underpromise and overdeliver" now its the other way around we don't get half of the feature they actually promise

Don't forget open alternate access to Factions' elite missions.

City Of Heroes/Villains has had a LFT system for a while. WoW will get one for the Burning Crusade Expansion.
Its only natural that GW will get one soon to avoid looking even more crippled than it does now.
I just can't wait until they do something with the chat system. Its extremely limited compared to other systems.

I distinctly recall Gaile saying something about this not too long before Nightfall's release, and I was rather interested in what it might be.

Last year during wintersday, they gave us Observer mode and IDS, along with other crap I can't remember.
If any updates will happen, my guess it will be December 25 2006. Those will include....
Cross District Party Formation
New Elite Mission
Auction House ^_^
More Armor/Stuff....

Omega X... logik...
why don't the both of you find another game to play with that negative attitude? I'm really sick of the complainers that don't appreciate the development Anet does. There have been hundreds of improvements through free updates to this game since I payed for it 18 months ago.
Go stand in WoW waiting for a Meeting Stone to work for 3 hours a day. Go take gryphon rides for 1 hour a day experiencing all the other wonderful timesinks that Blizzard designed for you.
Stop complaining about Anet and GW and just quit. No one will miss you.
My guess is that they probably could release Razah and the elite mission for Nightfall today, cause it's probably already developed but doing so would just cause popularity for the mission to fizzle out, because there isn't a good enough LFG system in place for the missions to thrive. For example if you want to go to UW or FoW you need to look in 3 different places.

A decent LFG interface is the second most urgently required improvement to the game (after anti trade spam measures), IMHO.
Now, look who gets it first:

EQ2 has a decent LFG/LFW system too, and had one before WoW. Also, the current WoW LFG system is arguably worse than even GWs - as everyone on the entire server tends to spam a single channel. . .
I do agree that the GW LFG system is xtremely bad.

Since large segments no longer seem to want to team with anyone anyway, this probably isn't so important anymore anyway

Au contraire! The fact that nobody responds to LFG any more makes it even more important to have a good tool to find the few people who would like to do that certain quest/mission with you!

That would imply they actually have one, they don't, that is just local chat, it's not a LFG channel or 'system'.
The problem with the chat spamming is that you can't ignore an unlimited ammount of players, if people that spammed could all be put on ignore, it wouldn't take long for people to start actually using the right channel for trade. The lack of an auction house or a 'player shop' is also highly responsible for all that spam. 95% of the normal players would just put the stuff in the shop to sell it & get back to playing the game.
I really hope they do add a LFG feature & I hope it's intuitive, easy to use, and will allow global or at least national teaming. What I mean by this is you can go LFG and be seen by anyone on US/EU or what ever server you are on. For instance, maybe there are some people having trouble with Villany of Galrath, that seems to be a tough one the first time through. So some people in LA are on LFG for Villany & also, some folks in ToA are on LFG for Villany....it would be nice that they could see each other.

I agree, too many people are tired of having their LFG message drown in WT[S] spam with people circumventing the 'trade filter' in local chat. Also, most of the people that would use it would probably be decent players as most of the slackers probably couldn't figure it out, lol.

I remember it too
She said we'll see how cool and easy it'll be to make a party in Nightfall.
Well it seems we have to wait a couple of more months to see it.
Annette should really make the difference in the future between In the game on Released Day or Added during product lifetime.
It'll help a lot of people being less disappointed and angry.
